Buddy, you joined our family at about 7 weeks old, and you almost made it to the BIG one-two! From the time we laid eyes on you, we fell in love with you. You never as much as snapped at anyone (well, except when someone tried to cut your precious nails lol). You were all a family could ask for in a pet. And (if any) new pet is ever compared to you, it would be an INSULT to YOU! Everyone always looked forward to your "hugs" and other antics. Then the unthinkable happened, you picked up some weird infection that made you ill. You were never the same after that, but still spunky ol' buddy. About a month ago, you were diagnosed with kidney failure. This broke the hearts of everyone around you, because we knew there was nothing we could do except make you comfortable. Again, you still tried to be "you". Then, 2 weeks ago, you must have jumped off the couch the wrong way and lost the use of your hind legs. It seemed like you were getting used to it with your balance, etc. Seemed like overnight, you went from excellent to horrible. This morning, your blood tests showed you had total kidney failure, which was evidently very painful judging by your crying. We immediately asked if there was anything to do, and unfortunately, there was not. PLEASE forgive us for ending your life so soon Buddy. We didn't want you to suffer any longer, so mommy and I decided it was time to end your pain. Mommy and I held you in the exam room for quite some time. We cradled you, talked to you, cried a lot, and the "love" word was said so many times I cant count. We don't know if you saw or heard us Buddy, but we were there. We will miss you forever BooBoo, and I hope we served you well during the time you spent with us!

We love you forever BooBoo,

Mommy and Brian

Personal Notes

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.
