May of 1990 my husband bought PeeMee for his parents. His cat Sassy that his parents adopted, died of cancer. His parents turned the offer down for PeeMee, so we ended up adopting her. She was one of a kind. The reason we named her PeeMee is because whenever she would meow it sounded like she was saying “melwe”. She was our little French kitty. Whenever she was hungry she insisted to be rubbed while she was eating. If you didn’t she would chase you down! She was always so happy and loved to knead on her favorite blue blanket. She loved playing with our kids. She had her own toys, but her favorite was string. She would run through the house chasing the string until she couldn’t run anymore. I was always missing my wash cloths until one day I found out who was dragging them under the furniture. It was PeeMee. It is so funny to see her drag a wash cloth that was almost twice her size. She would do that with our socks as well. She would sit on kitchen counter by the sink watching me do the dishes. Hoping to catch a bubble. She would love to watch ice melt in the sink. She would not leave until it was all melted. It was so funny. Most of all she loved playing with ice on the floor. She always made us laugh. In the morning she would lay in the sun by the window and later she would meow at the birds. She was an indoor cat. We had her for 10 years. And we miss her so much. We found out she had breast cancer. The Vet operated on her and a week later she died. PeeMee it has been almost 4 years and it seems like yesterday. We all love you so much and miss you tremendously. Recently her brother Not-A-Bear joined her on Rainbow Bridge. What a loss. You are no longer in pain, we will see you again. Love you, Mama and Daddy
