Pookie, I have just learned, is a very, very special kitty. According to no less than two psychics, who do not know each other, he is a very old soul who is my soul mate. He would assit me in doing my tarot readings. If he thought I was not interpreting a card properly, or thoroughly, he would go sit on the card! I did not realize this is what he was doing and would gather him jup in my lap! He would go and sit on the card again and again, until I read it right! He was my companion and helper. When I would rescue infant orphaned kittens, he would become their surrogate mother, allowing them to cuddle up to him and would let them do just about anything to him, including "nurse" off him. I would always have to rescue him from several baby kitties who were all over him, because he would not move on his own. There were many endearing things about Pookie: he would tap my leg with his paw to be picked up. He loved to ride on my shoulder while I was vacuuming or steamcleaning the carpet. He purred the loudest when I sang his songs to him. He always had to be in my lap, even if I was on the toilet. He would drape himself across my neck every night while I slept, and, according to the psychics, he still does this, every night. Pookie was extremely delicate and sensitive, and also the alpha kitty, and was often taken advantage of by the other kitties. It almost killed him on at least one occasion. I made sure to keep a close eye on him forever after that. He would carefully calculate each and every move he made, before he made it. He made me want to be extra careful with all of my kitties, to watch them closely, so I would know them intimately, and I gained a much better understanding of why kitties do the things they do, and realized that they do things for a very specific reason, and are geniunely bewildered when we get upset at anything they do, because they never ever want to mosbehave and do not know how to get across to us how they are feeling or thinking other than by showing us. Darling Pookie, I miss you every moment of every day, I hope you come back like you say you are going to, I will be looking out for you!
