We had you in september 1995, from a pet rescue, you were around 18 months old, full of bounce you came home with us.
You quickly settled in, as though you had always been with us, you and Lucy (our other dog) became sisters.
You loved to play football, chase flys, sit on the sofa with mum and protect your family. You loved your food, especially Sunday dinner, spaghetti bolgnaise, cookies and cheese. And you loved your walks over Briely.
As time went on you had a few health problems, but you were always happy, always just plodded through, when Lucy passed away in May 2006 you were very sad and lonely, then when we had Paddy you didn't like him much, (i don't think you ever did) but thats because you were an old lady and you didn't want this irritating puppy hanging round. (i don't blame you)
In September 2008 you became ill, the vet said your kidneys were not good, you had medicine and blood tests and eventually picked up a little, but we were living on borrowed time, i became your nurse maid and looked after you constantly, you still had your bouncy moments, when i fed you you would jump up and down like a two year old, you still had your walks and you still would warn Paddy away. But on christmas day 2008 i think you had a stroke, you were quite ill, although you still manages to eat your cream cake that you had for christmas and you had your christmas dinner (apart from the peas and stuffing, you never liked those).
Slowly you got worse, and on Sunday 4th Jan 2009 you slipped and fell on your side, you started crying i calmed you down but that was when i realised i couldn't let you go on like this. On Monday 5th jan 2009 you were really ill, it took me all morning to ring the vets and i booked them to come out the next day, but you just got worse and worse, you were so poorly and i don't think you would of lasted the night, so we took you to the vets at 7pm so you could sleep, i held your head in my hands and you looked straight in my eyes as though you were saying thankyou, you were so calm.
We buried you next to Lucy, you looked so warm and snug in your coffin, it was so hard to say bye, but i know your not suffering anymore. Now i just feel numb, the kids miss you so much, i keep crying for my baby pip, the house is so quite without you, i miss you so much,i hope you are with Lucy, please be happy.
you will always be with me follwing me like you used to, i will never forget you and i will always love you, please stay with me always. Miss you Pippy Poo.
