Tigger was the most amazing little dog, the most faithful friend, the most stubborn little beast and the sweetest, most loving, intelligent dog i've ever been blessed to know.
She was my world, my Angel and she got me through the toughest times in my life.
Her passion for Schmackos will never be forgotten. She would constantly ask for Schmackos, at any time of the day or night, even if she'd only received one 5 minutes before! She would tap dance on the kitchen floor, sit on the matt & flick her head back as if to say "come on- hand it over".She knew we knew exactly what she meant.
She loved to hunt for mice & sunbaking was her favourite passtime.Trips in the car were the BEST & walks were great, as long as they were on HER terms!
She loved "froggies" & chasing the chooks & eating bones with her cute little butt stuck up in the air. She loved to chase & play with Bulldog. She loved to sleep under the doona & leave suspicious & neat little tunnels,as she thought we wouldn't know she'd been there!
She loved to dig at the beach,& the command "dig Tiggy, dig!" Would send her into a frenzy of digging,in all directions, with a wonderful smile on her face.
She also loved to bury her bones, or any other little tidbit she wanted to save for later,or hide from the others. She would walk around for at least 10 minutes at times, to find the perfect spot.Inspecting under spot,by cautiously digging with one paw, then deciding it was no good and continuing onto the next spot.Eventually she'd find the perfect spot & carefully dig & place the item in the hole, then meticulously cover it for minutes on end, patting it down with her nose. She looked hilarious with a nose covered in sand, & once a perfect little mound of sand was left sitting on her nose!
She was the best Mum ever to 6 beautiful, cheeky puppies & she was lucky enough to keep Peanut and Bully by her side.
Although she didn't often like to admit it,she loved Peanut- and would curl up beside her on their cushions to sunbake. But Bully was her favourite. When he was younger she'd carry bones around & cry, then drop them in front of him. And right till the end,she still sniffed and asked them to lift their legs to be cleaned and groomed!
She loved to lay on the bed with me during the day, curling up for a sleep together. She was always there when I needed someone to talk to-I know she understood everything. She loved me with all her heart, as I did her. Her love was unconditional, and she stood by me always.
She was always protecting the house,& any car, person or dog that approached would be barked at with all her might, Then, of course, she'd run back inside & allow the others to deal with the intruder!Especially if it meant she got back to the food or the favourite spot before the others. This became one of her best tricks when the others had run off, she got what she wanted,no competition! Even the spot on Grandma or Grandad's lap!
She loved her Grandma & Grandad, the mere mention of their names set her little stump wagging at such speed! And she loved her conversations with Grandma on the phone-they always sent her into a licking and wiggling frenzy!
Tigg touched the hearts of everyone she met & although she was my dog, she also belonged to Mum,Dad,Jodi,Aunty Laurel & now Dario. For they all had a special spot in her heart,as she did in theirs.
Her spirit & memory will live on in our hearts forever. For noone will ever compare to our beautiful little Tigger. She was such a unique little dog. We will all miss her forever. They say "Dogs are the best people"& that is certainly the truth in this case. She was the best, and will always be my best little friend.
I love you Tigg xxx

Personal Notes

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.

Don't worry about Tigger. She has found a friend in my gorgeous boy Sam. He will look after her. She is happy. She blesses you for the love you gave to her. Love like yours only comes to a few precious dogs and you are one of these special people who gave that love. Bless you from Tigger..
