Cody Bear was my bud, my companion, and he loved me and the rest of our family. We all loved him very much. He and I would roller blade together. When I was training him not to run off initially, he took out after some ducks and pulled me with him. I had to go down in the grass to stop him,but he learned to walk next to me quickly. He'd follow you everywhere in the house, he'd follow you to the door as you went to work and he'd greet you at the door when you came home. He was always happy to see us and always ready for a walk or some doggie play. He was so friendly to everyone. He'd greet each person in his own way--he'd run up to them all happy and then sit on their feet and look up for them to pat him. He was the best dog I ever had and I had a lot growing up. He loved Christmas too because we'd give him a present or two to rip open with his paws and teeth and we'd take pictures each year. I remember when my husband brought him home, it was the morining we were to open presents and there came running a little black lab. with a red ribbon around his neck! I miss him so much, but he's in doggy heaven now and I hope when it's my time to go to heaven that I will be greeted by my family members, Cody Bear and Poe Poe, my grandfather. We loved you and still do Cody Bear!
