Rachel was sweetest cocker spaniel I've ever known. She gave love unconditionally and loved children. She was the replacement for the child we could not have. She wagged her tail until her dying moment. She was a miracle that came to me during the historical blizzard of 1993 and she was about 4 years old then. This year has been a trying year for her with major surgery to remove an infected uterus. She then had swelling of her lymph nodes we thought was associated with some bad teeth and she underwent a couple major cleanings. The nodes never went down and before Thanksgiving we had them biopsied. We found out right before Christmas she had incurable thyroid carcinoma. She was a trooper through the holidays traveling to see her Grandparents and playing in her last snow. She will be very much missed and will always be loved. A candle burnt through the night last night on her grave and will continue to burn tonight. I will never forget you baby. Your buddies keep looking for you and it will take some time before we can go a day without tears. Angel keeps sniffing for you and is definately missing your companionship during the day while I'm at work. We will miss you Rachel.
