Toby was such a lovely dog. I got him when I was about 10-11 years old. He use to be a stud dog but he retired when he was still very young and then thats when we got him. :) At first I didnt like Toby. He was a boxer and he looked scary to me but as I got to know him I relised that he was just a softie. He reminded me of a smartie. It looked tough on the outside but on the inside it was as soft as anything. Toby was a happy lazy dog. He loved nothing better to do than sleep and eat all day. He loved to go for walks but after even walking just for 2 mins he would be panting and out of breath. I use to walk him everyday I could. He loved it. When we moved to Tone-Bahn, there were masses of feilds behind our house and during the Summer I use to take Toby, Mia and Sasha down to the very last feild which had this beatiful pond in it. The use to run around it and then jump in. At those moments my life was total bliss, just watching them play made me all nice and warm inside. Happy even.... Toby was the perfect dog. He never ran out if you left the gate open, he never went inside the house, he never did anything he wasnt suppose to. But then one day he did something... he ran out infront of my uncles van and got run over. He survived but he lost one of his legs. Even though it was still attached to his body it was useless. On that day something in Toby died... A year passed and even though I could no longer take Toby for walks I still tried to get him to play. Sometimes he would for a few minutes but never long. Then he caught Hepititus. His liver failed and when he caught Wheels Disease he couldnt fight it. He was in and out of the vets and then on Nov 1st 08 Toby passed away a 4:00am... Amanda age 16
