I knew Keisha from the time she was a puppy. She belonged to my sister and her boyfriend at the time. She came to me by chance as she had been turned in to the Humane society as a stray. My sister's then ex boyfriend couldn't keep her and a chance meeting revealed her location. Even the caretaker at the Humane society was touched as my sister sat by her kennel crying. He allowed her to take Keisha without the manditory license. Keisha was a wonderful friend and companion. She was not particularly fond of other dogs but loved her family and children. She was always on guard and protective of my daughter and me. She would stay by Anna's side when she went to sleep at night. On occasion she would try to slip downstairs before Anna was asleep and I would hear Anna call for her. She would look at me sheepishly as I pointed to the stairs. She would then return to her place in Anna'a room till she was sound asleep. She was the best dog. A wonderful dog. We will all miss her with all our hearts.
