Annie was found in a rubbish bin in a crowded and dirty carpark in inner city Abu Dhabi. She was 6 weeks old. I spotted her as I was leaving work. I stopped, scooped her up, and put her into the car. She lived with me from that day forward.



She had scabs all over her face, but seemed to be in ok condition otherwise. After a gentle bath and some food and water, she scrubbed up quite nicely. The scabs fell off after 3 days. I decided to keep her.



She was a total feral shit, ripping the couch, biting everybody and just generally going mental. As she was raised in the bin, she used to go through our rubbish at night, knocking over anything that smelt remotely like food. Even if her foodbowl was full! We loved her though. She could play fetch better than most dogs. 



Unfortunately, not many cat stories in Abu Dhabi have a happy ending. Poor Annie caught a disease from another feral cat when she escaped outside one day, that lead to her untimely death.



RIP Mittens
