Red Dog wasn't intrested in fetching or catching. He rather just roll in the grass. He was all about love. Just a Big ole lunk that was my constant shadow for 3-1/2 years.
It just not the same without you buddy. I miss you so much. You are such a good boy, Such a good boy.... Oh GOD Why?

Personal Notes

I'm very sorry about the loss of Red Dog. I know how heartbreaking it is. He was very fortunate to have someone who loved and cared for him as much as you. I'm sure Red Dog appreciated being part of your family and was a happy dog. Deepest sympathies to Red Dog's family at this difficult time.

Sorry about Red Dog. He passed the same day my baby girl did, Cricket. I have been asking God also, Why? All I can figure is it is true, "only the good die young". I understand your pain, but Red Dog was lucky to have you and of course you were lucky to have him.

If I know my Cricket, she is sitting pretty, playing like she doesn't even notice Red Dog. But my girl ALWAYS noticed the handsome guys. Since she liked to just sit in the grass and look pretty, they are probably sitting there together.

Peace be with you and in time let's hope this pain subsides and happy memories replace the hurt in our hearts.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.

Red is happy to report that he is loving heaven and rolling in the greenest freshest grass he has ever seen. He is with you daily and is still your shadow. He is proud to be your guardian angel...his new job assignment. He wants you to have peace in your heart and know he is a happy boy.

So sorry for your loss. Special animals come into our lives some are with us for a very long time and others only a short time. Red Dog was deeply loved by you and he loved you unconditionally, that's the most important thing. I found the following poem today for my boy who I lost almost 4 months ago-he too was young.
"There is one best place to bury a good dog. If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call-come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel, they shall not growl at him nor resent his coming, for he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall, who hear no whimper: people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his master." B.H. Campman

I just read my note to you and I thought I sounded a little cold. It wasn't my intention but we can only post 1000 characters per note and I wanted you to have the poem. I hope it brought you a little comfort.
