Although we never hit it off straight away, your ferocious feral kitten temper scaring me off as a 9 year old child, in your adult years you became a close friend to me. Eighteen years on, and especially through these last three years with mum at work all day and me back at home studying, we mended our relationship and became the closest of buddies. You'd even sneak in my room and curl up under my desk, just glad for some company, or meow to me from the upstairs landing to let me know you wanted that stroke or cuddle which you knew I'd always give. I'm glad that it turned out that way. You had the most human of personalities, grumpy and playful, intelligent to the extreme. If we even changed a picture, put up flowers, you'd notice it straight away even when your brother Simmy took days to realise. The way you talked to us, with different meows for different things you wanted to say, we had that understanding between us and we always knew what you were after. Everyone who met you remembers you: a proud and dignified cat, so beautiful with your long black hair and fluffy squirrel-like tail. I'm so sad and sorry that things ended the way they did, but glad I got to say goodbye to you at the very end. God bless you Teddy, we miss you so very much.
