Neeka was our beloved german shepard for over eleven years. I remember picking her out for a Christmas present for my husband Tom back in December 1992. I knew she was "the one" when she came up to me and licked my face at the kennel that snowy winter day in December. She was a gentle and kind-hearted dog to everyone. She was a part of our life during many important and life changing experiences. Through college graduations, new jobs, engagements, weddings and the birth of our two children she was always there for us. I remember when we built our first home and Neeka loved to sleep in our bed after her "dad" left in the morning. She loved our children and couldn't kiss then enough when she saw them. When our son was born, she would sit next to his baby swing and watch him while he slept in his craddle. She was just as loving when our daughter arrived three years later. She adored us and the kids. She loved taking walks with Tom in the morning and each night. She loved to hear his voice call for her and hear him click her leash so that she would get ready to go outside. She watched Anthony go from that craddle to kicking soceer balls in the back yard by her dog house. Oh how she wanted to get a hold of that soceer ball and play with him. She was such a loyal companion and friend. Her adorable face will be missed bur her memory will last a lifetime.
