My kitty Garbo has been with me nearly 16 years and she has been a loyal friend. She has seen me through life's ups and downs, and was especially a comfort during times when I felt so alone. My heart aches for a dear kitty, because her death was slow. She spent two weeks without food, and a week without water, but still she held on until today. I prayed that the Lord would take her, so that she may not suffer. Up until her death, she showed no pain. The time I spent gently caressing her, she let out soft purrs. Last night the boys took turns carefully petting her and she stayed in their room all night and all day today. Even though i knew her time to pass was near, my heart aches deeply knowing she is finally gone. I pray to our Heavenly Father to care for her spirit - my sweet, gentle Garbo.
