Annie was more than just a pet to our family; she was part of our family. The first day we saw her at the pound she was in the corner by herself, timid and shy. I was about 5 or 6 years old. We adopted her with joy and decided on the name Annie because she had red hair just like the orphan Annie. She has blessed our lives the last 14 years. When she was younger she was vibrant and full of energy. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and a wag in her little ball tail. She was extremely protective of our family. She would guard our house even in her last days. She ate bee's when we be screaming at them. She always put her head on our laps for some love and attention. Even though she was incredibily protective, not once did she hurt anyone. She was one of the sweetest and well behaved dogs I have ever seen. She was loved by many. Her best feature, was her loving and adorable eyes. Those eyes told you a million words that she could not express. One of my favorite memories of her is when we accidentally left the back gate open, and didn't even realized it, and when we would come home, she be sitting on our porch. At those moments I knew Annie didn't want to be anywhere else but with our family. She loved us as we loved her, and she will ALWAYS be in our hearts! I love you Annie!

That was a great tribute to Annie. Our condolences on the passing of Annie. Annie was very lucky to have ended up with such a loving family, it sure sounds like she wasn't going anywhere else. We understand how you feel as we have lost both of our dogs recently. Although things will never be the same, they will never be forgotten and they will live forever in our hearts. Best wishes to Annies family.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.

Don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun
Life holds so many facets
This earth is only one
Just think of her as resting
From the sorrows and the tears
In a place of warmth and comfort
Where there are no days and years
Think how she must be wishing
That we could know, today
Now nothing but our sadness
Can really pass away
And think of her as living
In the hearts of those she touched
For nothing loved is ever lost
And she is loved so very much.
