Tequila was one of the most outgoing dogs you would ever meet. She loved people, no matter who they were. Whenever people would come around she would get excited and run in circles wagging her tail, and dragging her back legs, until someone picked her up to play with her. When times were rough for her family, she was always there to bring some cheer into our lives. Her world was the entire house, she didn't even want to go outside, unless you were taking her for a car ride. We would go for drives (before gas skyrocketed), and just cruise around. She would ride in my lap for hours and be perfectly content. The night before she passed she was getting a little better, but when I closed her cage she started to whine like she knew her time was near and she just wanted me to hold her, so I did. She sat in my lap for hours as I studied, just resting her head on my leg, then she went to sleep never to play again. We did everything we could, even doggie CPR, but to no avail. As it turned out she got into some chocolate and it just killed her liver.
Tequila, your daddy always loved you. Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle John, Aunt Shonna loved you and will miss you. Even though Mom was not around anymore, she loved you too. One day we will all be reunited on the other side, until then girl you are free to run and play and will never have to "go to your cage" again. Good bye for now Baby
