DAX, my best friend and best companion. My shadow. DAX through his piercing eyes, rich black markings, and regal demeanor was truly kind and soft at heart. He was always playful and always proud. His love for me is unconditional yet his drive for his balls, sticks, and my favorite the shadows was unstoppable. His training and overall well adapted status made him approachable and likeable to anyone he met. I could trustingly take him absolutely anywhere. DAX lived in a variety of homes all around the country, he worked a variety of jobs with me taking each and every one seriously especially those involving horses. He loves his horses. DAX loved everything about life. The sunshine, thick green grass, cold snow, bees and butterflies, truck and trail rides, lakes and ponds, mountains and valleys, his toys and brothers, but most of all me and his family. His eagerness to please and always happy outlook made him my pride and joy. He taught me many things about life. As unconfident as I may sometimes be, when he was there, I felt strong, protected and proud to show off my trophy friend. His presence was never unnoticed and now greatly missed. Sensitive yet stoic. My guardian angel and friend, My Honey
HOPI PRAYER
Do not stand
at my grave and weep.
I am not there,
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand
winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight
on the ripened grain.
I am the gentle
Autumn’s rain.
When you awaken
in the morning hush,
I am the swift,
uplifting rush
of quiet birds
in circled flight.
I am the soft stars
that shine at night.
Do not stand
at my grave and cry;
I am not there,
I did not die.
