Missy came to us as a tiny pup no bigger than your hand. SHe was the runt of a litter of 9. She soon stole our hearts with her beautiful brown eyes and sweet personality. Since she was part Whippet, she loved to run. Her favorite things were her stuffed animals which she cared for as if they were her babies. She would hold them in her mouth and whine for hours. She always looked forward to going to Grandma's for a long walk. She unfortunately contracted an infection which disabled her legs and she could no longer walk. Despite this, she had a wonderful 15+ years on this Earth. We know now she is in heaven with God and her beloved sister Cassie running and playing like there is no tomorrow. She was our "once in a lifetime joy" as she will never be replaced or forgotten. Heaven has one more angel now.

Personal Notes

Our house seems so quiet without your sweet, loud barking. I still hope to come around a corner and you'll be there so I can hug and kiss you one more time. I miss you, sweet angel.

Missy was a joy and delight to us for 15 years, I still remember the time Michael was visiting, Missy had never been around a kid before....he started running, she did too, & bit him on the ankle....We scolded her, she never did it again! We will miss her and Larry is correct, no one will take her place in our lives!

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.

Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Missy. I bet she felt so happy and lucky to have such a caring family as yours. We lost not one, but both of our dogs recently and we can understand what you are feeling. I know it will never be enough but fifteen years is a great, long life. Missy has given you enough love and memories to last you a hundred lifetimes. Best wishes.
