Nanook was our big guy. He loved to run free in his backyard. The breeze flowing through his fur. He was a big brother to our two cats, Milkshake and Boscoe. He affectionately played with them, even when they hissed... he was always so gentle. He loved to walk the four mile trail with his Mommy and Grandma. He would run and jump and smell everyone that passed in the opposite direction. However, by mile two, we joked how he began to walk like an old man. He was loved evey minute of his life. Now, my memories by sweeping fur, wet noses, howls to go out will soon fade, but he will however live in our hearts. I know he will watch over us as he sits in heaven and say, "Daddy, Mommy, and sister, I love you" I lost a special friend today the kind you can't replace, and looking at his empty bed I still can see his face. I know he's in a special place our Lord has for such friends, Where meadows, fields & flowers help make them strong and whole again. I know he's watching over me He'll be with me when I cry, So with one more kiss on his beloved head I told my friend goodbye. author unknown
