Nanook was our big guy. He loved to run free in his backyard. The breeze flowing through his fur. He was a big brother to our two cats, Milkshake and Boscoe. He affectionately played with them, even when they hissed... he was always so gentle. He loved to walk the four mile trail with his Mommy and Grandma. He would run and jump and smell everyone that passed in the opposite direction. However, by mile two, we joked how he began to walk like an old man. He was loved evey minute of his life. Now, my memories by sweeping fur, wet noses, howls to go out will soon fade, but he will however live in our hearts. I know he will watch over us as he sits in heaven and say, "Daddy, Mommy, and sister, I love you"

I lost a special friend today
the kind you can't replace,
and looking at his empty bed
I still can see his face.

I know he's in a special place
our Lord has for such friends,
Where meadows, fields & flowers
help make them strong and whole again.

I know he's watching over me
He'll be with me when I cry,
So with one more kiss on his beloved head
I told my friend goodbye.

Personal Notes

We're very sorry about the passing of your beautiful dog Nanook. Our four legged friends always seem to add the biggest dynamic to the household. Isn't it ironic that they can't speak but somehow have the biggest personalities? We totally understand how you feel and what you are going through as we have recently lost both our dogs Grindle and Buster. It is awful but take comfort knowing you'll be together again at Rainbow Bridge. Best wishes.

Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way you always used. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight. All is well, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. Condolences from Ireland.

What a beautiful boy your Nanook is. My heart aches for your loss. We just lost our Kiki this last weekend, I understand the pain. Please find comfort in knowing that others are reaching out to you with compassionate wishes for your peace. Nanook will always be with you. Kiki would like to play with Nanook in that special meadow in heaven.

Although I was not able to spend as much time with NaNook as I would have liked, I will never forget the time we did spend. My fondest memory is when his sister and I tried to take him out to his pen. He carried us the whole way. I smile to myself when I think about the sweet and cheerful dog he was. He will definately be missed by many. We love you NaNook. Thank you for touching our lives.
