Leslie was the most amazing, for lack of a truly proper word, person. She knew what she wanted, and you sure knew it. She was queen of the house, and if you upset her, she would give you the dirtiest look I have ever seen. But at the same time, she was incredibly loving and she cared about me and how I was feeling. I felt appreciated and purposeful when I was with her. I remember one time when there were roses on the table, I came into the kitchen and there she was, chomping away. With her, I constantly found myself saying, "Only you, Leslie-bear, only you". And it's true, she's the only of her kind. She is so incredibly missed. I love you Leslie, and I'm sorry I couldn't protect you.
