On November 2, 2007, Pooch, a fine, furry friend died. It was his 11th birhtday. He was my dogs' son and I was going to go and see him tomorrow, for the first time since I found him a good home, when he was 3 months old. Since he had a good home, I thought it was best to not confuse him. I ask about him for a couple of years to make sure he was happy, but did not visit him.

I kept 2 of his sisters. Since all the pups were getting old, I wanted to scratch his ears one last time and let him know I had not forgotten him. Now I can not. The owner said he was tied up and hung himself this morning. Why was he tied up? Should I have kept in touch to make sure he was treated well. I will miss him and wonder if I failed him.

I do not want any replies.

I just want to acknowledge his passing as a good loyal friend and confess my possible indirect blame.

Goodbye Pooch. You will always be "little guy" to me.
