I REMEMBER YOU

I remember you so clearly

your kisses and your eyes

how you would wait for me each day

and never leave my side.

I remember all your squeeking noises 

everytime you heared a bag

last night I thaught I heared you

and it made me very sad.

I remember all those plastic toys

how you loved to just annoy

what i would give right now

please toss just one last toy.

I remember you would get excited

when I braught you a new friend

and how you loved to run and play

and lick your new friend's face.

I remember hearing your squeeky voice

and your happy little dance

how your eyes would open wide

with just a simple glance.

I remember how we'd watch tv

you loved to lounge around

and sleep for hours in my arms

you never made a sound.

I remember all we've been through

you were with me through it all

you were always watching over me

I stayed strong because of you.

I remember I once said 

I'd never make it without you

and one day we'd be happy

if we both could make it through.

I remember you growing older

but I was in denial

I swore you'd live forever

because for me you'd go the mile.

but time grew short so suddenly

and you were slipping from my life

my heart was aching o so much

like a stabbing of a knife.

I remember the last week with you

I hoped you would get better

but when you couldn't walk no more

I knew you'd be gone forever.

I remember your last moments

and what I won't forget

is I how I couldn't be with you

that's my one regret.
