Mathilda Gillett was brought in to my life in February of 2002. She was a tiny little thing, and fit in to the palm of my hands. She was very sickly as a pup, and there were times when I worried that she wouldn't make it. She had worms, a sensitive tummy, and was just a little bag of bones! Because she didn't have much body fat, I'd swaddle her in a blanket, and carry her around like a little baby! And she LOVED it. She always loved being covered up in blankets =) She loved spending time with her sissy Xena, and once Rocket (her brother) came along she LOVED scrapping with him! They would spend hours in the backyard chasing eachother around and around! I constantly received compliments about Mattie! Every time I took her out in public......people couldn't believe how cute and sweet she was! They loved her fur, and were amazed by how soft it was! I was soooo proud to be her mommy! Mathilda had such a sweet disposition, and loved everyone! One of my favorite memories of her is at bedtime. When bedtime came around she'd jump up on the bed, and I'd already be under the covers. She'd then make her way to the top of the bed, and she'd paw at the covers until I lifted them up and let her underneath. Then she'd get under the covers, and spoon with me!!! There was nothing better than spooning with my little girl!
