Many, many years ago, Greg found a fluffy black stray dog under his truck in a parking lot. He took him home, cleaned him up and had him checked by the vet only to discover that he had a serious case of heartworm. Greg decided against better judgement to put him through the extensive treatment that he could not afford. What a perfect decision that turned out to be. Yoshi lived the rest of his nearly 20 years of life giving the kind of joy and love only a very few special dogs know how to do. He touched the hearts of our family and friends and lifted the spirits of people we visited in nursing homes. Last night, he joined our little buddy Oscar who also died only a few months ago. They were life-long friends and once Ozzie died, Yoshi faded fast. Both left us peacefully in their sleep and we miss them so much. Our hearts are heavy, but filled with wonderful memories of Oscar and Yoshi.

Greg, Jessie and Carson,

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Yoshi and Oscar were the cutest little characters! We know you will miss them, but you have many memories to cherish! We love you all!

There has never been a sweeter dog than Yoshi. Or softer....It just goes to show that we all have a purpose in life no matter how broke down we may seem. From his sad, ill beginning to many years of life and happiness, he was just such a GOOD DOG!!!! He showed his appreciation by bring joy to the lives of his family and to other oldies but goodies in nursing homes. He will be fondly remembered by all of those who were lucky enough to know him.

Oscar was the most devoted little dog. While not the most outwardly friendly dog, he LOVED his family and in his own little Napoleon way he watched and protected his family and home. It's hard to let go of lifelong friends and Yoshi must have missed him the most. They lived a good life together in the most loving home that they could ask for. They were "LUCKY DOGS"

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die.

We share your grief at the loss of two good friends. We grow all too close to animals that have a relatively short life span. I'm sure you'll remember for years to come the joy and friendship they gave you.

I am so sorry to hear about Yoshi, Jessie had just informed me about Ozzie. I remember the first time I met them both, you would have thought they were Great Danes by their bark. Ozzie certainly thought he was bigger than he actually was. If I ever paint again for you all I will miss having them sit on the drop cloth while I work.

So sorry to hear about Yoshi, may the happy memories you have of both Oscar and Yoshi replace the sorrow.
