Kakie Doodle byes was extremely important to me, my partner and our respective families and friends. He was temperamental, moody but the most lovable pet you could ever hope to meet. We bought Kacs on a trip to the pet store where we intended to purchase a turtle as a pet. When we saw Kacs, no bigger than a thumb, green like an apple and with his big eyes, we knew we had to take him out of there and give him a home with us, out went the turtle option and twenty minutes of advice and alot of money later, he was in a cab on his way home. Kacs was a Veiled Chameleon born in Saudi Arabia and brought over to Ireland when two months old. He grew to become a rather scary fellow roughly the size of a childs forearm, although still adorable in every aspect, always seemed to be curious about his surroundings, would close his eyes when upset with us, he really had a character of his own. We grew to love kacs enormously and he was a presence that we just never imagined living without. Kacs was with us through a move to a new home and went through the whole ordeal without a bother in the world. We noticed in his last few months that he was very unhappy and would eat less and less every day, unfortunately we did not heed to warning signs and take him to a vet like we should have, sure enough, when coming home from work one day I found he had passed away, still clinging on to his favourite branch. I have never cried as much as I did that day, and the next. We were both devastated and could not believe that he had left so suddenly. Coming home will never be the same again without our little pet to greet and feed. Kacs was given a funeral fit for a king in the largest city park in Europe, buried under an oak tree, the branches of which he would have so loved to climb. We love you Kacs and will always miss you and remember you, hope to see you again some day.
