Booker was the cutest puppy I ever seen and just had to have him. I brought him home on august 24th when he was just six weeks old and weighed 3 pounds. He grew up into a very smart lovable 42 pound son.Booker loved to chase squirrel and rabbit. He also loved long walks and just following me around wherever I went.I did everything with him I could.I taught him to do all the basic commands. In addition he learned to give hugs and kisses, dance,do the bear where he would get on his hind legs and stand up and growl, got my mail, got the paper, retrieve his food bowl, and pose like lassie on command. Pose like lassie means he would put out his paw straight out like lassie did in the tv show introductions! Booker was a son that I thought would live at least 14 or 15 years of age. Tragically on May 14th 2007 he collapsed suddenly without warning at 6:55 am after I let him out in the back yard. Booker as I found out later that day had a cancer called hemangiosarcoma on his heart. This tumor ruptured inside the pericardium, the sac that encloses the heart muscle. as it filled with blood he became very weak and went to his pit in the back yard. I rushed him to the vesc, but he passed on before I got there. I was in total shock and grieved like never before. Bookers memories, pictures, video tapes, and audio clips will always be at a fingers touch away. My cell phone ring tone is an audio clip that I recorded of him and set as my ringtone.Nothing will ever be the same without him but as I said MEMORIES LAST FOREVER!!!May bookie dog rest in peace forever!
