Our little Hope was born early one morning to a young , firstime mother that promptly abandoned her and her siblings. Thank goodness this cat had a sister with a litter! Tigger (the surrogate mommy) came and rescued them all making her litter now equal 7!!  She was the tiniest thing and we were afraid she wouldnt make it , even then. But being the loving , determined family this is, we got out the KMR and began supplement feedings.  She began to thrive and it looked good for the happy little family. Sadly though, by the 3rd week, she began sleeping away from Tigger and seemed lethargic when we fed her. After a trip to the vet, we were told she had a form of anemia that prvented her from making her own red blood cells. Even a transplant would probably only prolong the inevitable for a day or two. Sadly, after several attempts to see if we could jump start her blood this way..she quietly went to sleep on my chest, tucked warmly under my shirt. I had gotten so close to her and it was a heavy blow to take. I felt like I cried out every tear in my body. She was such a fighter..never giving up, even trying to stand to go to the potty less than an hour before she passed. I prayed quietly and told her our cat Jake was waiting to meet her in Heaven, where they could play for an eternity!  There was just enough time for me to have my heart taken by your sweet face and angelic little "mew"! We all will miss you and will see you again one day ...my beautiful little Hope...
