Emily was our first girl dog ever. Her loyalty and devotion is no match to mankind.
When Emily came into our lives she was a kennel dog, in service to her breeder, living a life of solitude.
She did not understand the joys in life: toys, belly rubs, driving in the car, etc. But she learned quickly and learned to demand these finer points of life.
She has been and will always be the apple of my eye, the center of my universe. She gave us an entire 4 weeks of affection and devotion to the very end, and she died im my arms, filled with love and gratitude for the time we had together on earth.

I Want to Die While You Love Me
Georgia Douglas Johnson
I WANT to die while you love me,
While yet you hold me fair,
While laughter lies upon my lips
And lights are in my hair.
I want to die while you love me,
And bear to that still bed,
Your kisses turbulent, unspent
To warm me when I’m dead.
I want to die while you love me
Oh, who would care to live
Till love has nothing more to ask
And nothing more to give!
I want to die while you love me
And never, never see
The glory of this perfect day
Grow dim or cease to be.
