Oonagh: Irish Queen of the Fairies; or from Una, Latin for Unity.

Oonagh came into our lives and transformed everyone and everything she touched. Rescued from a Tuscon kennel just before it was seized and shut down by local authorities, she overtook us in a flash with her soulful beauty, startling intelligence, intense sensitivity, and wild zest for the best things in life--running, balls, squeaky things, and being together.

She rose above a past not meant for any living creature, and was able to trust, learn, enjoy, and most of all, give and receive love in her beautiful Greyhound way.

Our constant pal and companion, we will continue to sense our little red shadow right here with us, as always, day in and day out.

We love you, Oonagh.

Personal Notes

My sympathies on the loss of your precious Oonagh. Thank you for giving her a wonderful life that she never could have dreamed of when she was younger. Please consider visiting us at our online pet loss support group... we understand the pain and would like to help you through this if we can. You can find our site at http://forums.delphiforums.com/GizmosGarden/start Delphi requires you to register but it is free. May Oonagh rest in peace at the Bridge until you are together once more.

Do not stand at my grave
and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the
morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft star that shines
at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.
