Phoebe was a miniature King charles spaniel who came into our lives at four weeks old. She gave more gifts to our family than we could ever count. She was the glue that cemented our family together. She was always there to comfort, love, and play with you. She was a faithful and great companion for any alone or ill in the house. She never asked for anything in return. She loved her walks, her ball, and she loved the water, she was swimmimg on her own at six weeks. The world became a poorer place after 6/6/2007 but our lives have been enriched forever, because she was part of our family for ten years.

Personal Notes

Thank you for your kind words, and for understanding my pain. I'm so sorry for your loss too. Their passing causes such grief for us but they are worth every moment of sadness and every tear we shed. Phoebe will love my Thor and he will love her in return. He was always an easy mark when it came to a pretty face! May they have lots of fun together until we arrive from the other side of The Bridge. Hugs of comfort from Kingsville, Maryland, U.S.A.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die. Added by Phoebe's dad

First of all I'd like to say thank you for your kind thoughts about the loss of our beloved Grindle. You don't know how much of a lift you have provided us with your kind words while we are still trying to cope with the reality of our sudden loss.
Our family would also like to express our condolences on the loss of your sweet Phoebe. Our hearts go out to your family.
God Bless you and thank you again.

Happy birthday little Phoebe, the photo on the site is from her last birthday, when we put a candle into a fig roll (her favorite treat). I miss my shadow, I miss falling over her, as she was constantly at my feet, I miss coming into the house at evening time and have the welcome of kings waiting. I just miss her.

Hi little Phoebe, Its coming up to our first Christmas without you, and I just found your little santa hat and beard that you got last year, when I was putting up the tree. I hope you are as happy where you are now as we were when we had you in our lives. Love at Christmas.

Pretty little Phoebe, you are still missed more than ever, just more proof of how happy you made your humans. Our grief subsides over time but every now and then something drives home our loss even more and brings us to our knees again in sadness. Your human's note on Thor's page came at a time when I was missing him at Christmas. It was a reach of comfort from halfway across the world, and I am grateful.
