Izzy Mae came to be part of her Mom's life from a stray dog flyer and word-of-mouth about a sweet beagle, black lab that needed a loving home. From behind a baby's gate in a run-down trailer in Sparta, Izzy saw her Mom for the first time and it was love at first sight. Izzy's new Mom, without hesitation, scooped up the doe-eyed little woofer and brought her home. As soon as Izzy arrived in her new home, she ran to her Mommy's bedroom, jumped on the bed, claimed it as her own, and slept in her Mom's room from that day forward. Izzy became a part of her family's life like no other dog could. She was a constant companion, listener, and true love. Izzy loved to chew rocks, so much so, that she wore her teeth down to little brown nubs. She also loved to chase squirrels and rut through the dirt. She loved long walks and ears-blowing in the wind car rides. Above all else, Izzy loved to love her family. She was a constant ray of light and a constant companion that can never be replaced. The true measure of a dog's companionship is the amount of joy that she brings to your heart and Izzy made all of those who knew her have hearts that burst at the seams.
