Geri Lee was the caretaker. Whenever you were sad, Geri was there to nuzzle you and make you pet her. Looking into her smiling eyes, always made you feel better. She always went outside along with Sydney, her older sister, and you knew she did this just to keep an eye on her. She was there for Sydney through thunderstorms and uneasy situations. Geri made friends with everyone. She knew how to make you feel special and loved. Even her last days were spendt playing "tug of war" with her new brother Hans, just to keep him happy. No one knew that she was dying from liver cancer. She was always there with her smiling eyes and wagging tail. She meant the world to all of us and the shock of losing her will never be forgotten. She was such a special little girl and she will be deeply missed. She has a place in our hearts forever.

Personal Notes

From the moment we saw Geri Lee sitting quietly in the pen at the animal rescue we could see that she was special. Her gentle eyes gleamed softly, and with a little tail wag she seemed to say, "I hope you take me cause I'll give you all I got to give", and that’s just what she did. She seemed to sense the everyone’s feelings, offering unconditional love and friendship when you needed it most. She touched everyone that knew her and left an inconsolable void in my spirit.

GERI LEE....WAS SUCH A COOL DOG!!!!
WE HAD A SPECIAL BOND.
WHEN I VISITED HER MOM & DAD, I LET HER WEAR MY ROBE FOR A FUNNY PICTURE SESSION.
SHE LOOKED SO CUTE AND FUNNY.
FROM THE LOOK ON HER FACE SHE PROBABLY WAS THINKING "WHAT IS THIS CRAZY LADY DOING?"
I STILL HAVE THE ROBE AND THE SPECIAL MEMORIES BEHIND IT FOREVER!!!!
GOD BLESS ALL DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME AND CLING TO THE SPECIAL TIMES THAT BROUGHT ALL AS A FAMILY!!!!
GOD BLESS!!!!
LOVE,
SANDY & DAN

Geri Lee was my first dog. When I saw her sitting in the pen at the shelter the name above her head was "Rosie" but something told me that wasn't the right name for her. Now that Geri Lee is gone my heart is breaking but I can't help but think that I named her correctly. She was the thing that I needed to help me through my tough teenage years. As Trudy said, "She is our Rock". She helped Trudy, my dad and I bond as a family and we will never forget that special little girl.
