Fang was much more than our dog, he was a big part of our family. He was our 12 year old rottweiller who loved to give kisses and have his butt rubbed. Anyone that was lucky enough to have met Fang will never forget him. Friends of ours who disliked dogs changed their minds quickly after meeting our unique rottie. In his younger days Fang attended obedience classes and was a show dog. He believed people were put on this world to pet him. Fang loved his family and was protective of them, especially of his mommy(Debbie). When daddy(Scott) came home from work Fang would get so excited wagging his stubby he would almost lose his balance. Fang loved going for drives with us especially when we stopped at his favorite place "Tim Horton's"...he sure loved tim bits. Quite frequently around our home you would find us trying to share the couch with Fang..his job in our home was to hold down the couch and make sure it did not float away..Fang did a great job at this. He loved going for walks, daddy would tell him "get it" and Fang would roll around in the grass snorting and carrying on..we started calling these "Fang's Puppileptics" Going to the lake was another of Fang's favorite things to do..he loved meeting mom & dad's friends because he knew he would get lots of attention and loving.
We know that Fang would have wanted us to say a special thank you to his sister, Cassie for all those great butt rubs, walks and fun times, his brother and sister in law Jason & Amy for the petting and Jason getting over his fear of Fang. Thanks to Great Grandma Vera for letting Fang in her home and all the loving and using her as his personal leaning post. Special thanks to Grandma Barb for all those tim bits and the kisses Fang would sneak when he thought Grandma wasn't looking and to his special chew toy and wrestling buddy, Uncle Pat. Thanks to Ben, Shelley and Sara for meeting us for coffee and tim bits at the lake. We know you all loved and cared about Fang as much as we did. You all proved that to us when Fang became too tired to stay here with us. Words cannot express how much we appreciate the phone calls and support you all showed during this very hard time for us. There are many other people that Fang met and loved and we hope that you will leave a memory you have of Fang on this site for all of us to view.
WE LOVE YOU, "FANG" AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS
Love you Fang, Daddy (Scott) and Mommy (Debbie)

Personal Notes

Today is Tues. Dec.9 /03. Scott went and picked up Fang's ashes last night while I was at work. He was cremated on Nov. 27/03. I guess it is all real.I am finding it very difficult dealing with all this,God, how I miss him, his sloppy kisses when I least expected it, drinking my bath water while I was soaking in a bubble bath, following me from room to room because Scott told him to look after mommy. I miss him soooooo much.

Today is Dec.19...I have been busy working and getting ready for Christmas..but each time I come home I still expect to see FANG waiting for me, wagging his stubby and waiting to show me how much he missed me and loves me. It is funny how Fang just loved unconditionally and gave his love so freely. He was very loving and I miss him very much. Love you Fang...You will always be mommy's puppy with the big muscles (hee-hee) This a pic of a rottie..Fang was much more handsome!!!!!

Dec.22--- Fang's family just returned from a lovely weekend at Niagara Falls. Deb and Scott talked about Fang and some of his past and actually were able to laugh about them. It was so nice. The thing I will always remember and feel is his WET SLOBBY kisses. I know he knew I did not love them but he gave them anyway. Of course it did not bother me as much as I let on. Fang-- To know you was to love you.
And I did

Dec.23/03 I know there must be a dog Heaven, and that is where Fang will be. I also hope he finds "Mickey" there---- as he has been there a long time and will be able to show him the ropes. Fang can be his "BIG BIG BREAU". Wish we could all thank them for all the gifts. What gifts you ask? The ones that do not have to be wrapped and put under the tree. The gift of great memories that we will have always.
