When you came to us, you had been treated badly, and you were frightened of us. You hid from us, but we stood by you.
Over the years you changed into a loving, happy dog. You wanted to know everything. You were such a poser for the camera! You gave us another, Binni, and you devoted your life to us, as we devoted our lives to you.
Later on in life, you began to have difficulties standing and moving, and preferred to stay in one spot. Eventually it became difficult to maintain daily functions, and it became difficult to live your life the way you were meant to.
Eventually, as you aged, you began to stare blankly into space, as if you could see something we couldn't. You began to cry for no reason, still staring into the same space. We all knew it -- we were beginning to lose the girl we loved so much.
On March 23rd, 2007, after a lot of thought, we took you to the vet for an explanation on just what was happening to you. She explained that while you were not in acute pain, you were having difficulty in life and explained your staring and crying as a matter of you slowly beginning to lose your mind.
We didn't want you to suffer anymore. We knew you understood.
Thank you for the 15 years you gave us. We never stopped loving you and never will. We miss you terribly already and nothing will ever change. Thank you so much for your love and devotion, for simply being there, and being you.
Sharni will take care of you, always.
Rest In Peace. You are finally free.
