Joey, a cocker spaniel, was a one of a kind dog. He was the dog that listened to my problems and would put his head on my shoulder as if he understood. He also talked to me with his grumbling when I asked him to "tell me all about it". He gave me the comfort I needed. I hope I did the same for him in his last year of life. He became blind from glaucoma and I hope he knows I did the best I could. His last month of life was a struggle because of Congestive Heart Failure. He knew it was time for him to leave this life and did it peacefully, letting me know it was o.k. Even though he was only nine years old, he will live forever in my heart.
