Baxter was an absolute sweetheart. I got him from a good friend of mine back in February of 1999 (he was a stray that kept coming to her house). I didn't know his true age, but judging by the size of him at the time I adopted him, I estimated that he was at least a year old. He absolutely LOVED water. When I would take a bubble bath, he would sit on the edge of the bath tub and put his head down to the water and drink, as well as eat the bubble bath. He would also hop right into the bath tub when I was done taking a shower and begin to lick the tub walls down. (I would sometimes jokingly call him "Tilex" when he would do that). He also LOVED to sleep in my bathroom sinks. Another thing he enjoyed immensely was cat nip. All I would have to do was shake the plastic container and he would come running from the upstairs bathroom. It was hysterical. Baxter became ill with lymphoma sometime back in 2006 (although I did not know it at that time). It was diagnosed in February 2007. I had just moved down to the Harrisburg area in November 2006 after having lived up in Northeast PA all of my life (about 30 miles from the Wilkes-Barre area). It hurt me that Baxter did not get to enjoy his new home for very long. However, I am so glad that I was able to give him a nice, loving home for 8 years and take him off the streets of Berwick. My "Tiger Boy" finally went to heaven on Tuesday, March 6, 2007. I was with him when he was euthanized at the vet, and I can honestly say it was very peaceful. I know that he is no longer suffering as he was, and that he is in a much better place. I can't wait to see him again. From his mommy, Paula
