A beautiful ginger stray, rescued on 5th December 1995.  He was huge then, 18lbs in weight.  He had a wonderful temperament, very laid back and affectionate.  Wellie settled in immediately and was exceptionally happy here.  We loved each other's company - he was always ready to purr loudly when stroked.  He was so gentle - often wandering around the garden in the Summer sniffing flowers.  As the years rolled on (he must have been approaching his late teens), he braved several illnesses, but was incredibly positive and endured them.  He was happy until virtually the last day, when it all became too much for him and an awful decision had to be made.  I miss him dreadfully, but will always treasure his precious memory.
