Siegrio's Hexe entered our lives on June 10, 1992 as a cute 'little' 9 1/2 week old baby Newf.  Since then we've shared so much, and grown with her.  Although the 11 1/2 years she lived with us is considered a very long life for a Newfy, it just wasn't long enough.  Hexe, you are so greatly missed by all.  Sava misses you terribly - she is so lonely without you.  I wish you would never EVER have had to die. You are in our hearts for eternity.  The void will be hard to fill.  



Hexe suddenly collapsed at home in the afternoon on Saturday.  She was taken to the hospital where diagnostics revealed a ruptured hemangiosarcoma of the spleen.  Considering her age (aboslutely ancient for a newf- as the vet put it), the excruciating pain she was in (which she hid miraculously well right to the end), and the malignancy of this type of cancer, surgery was not considered a viable option.  The only humane option was euthanasia. In the presence of all who loved her (including Sava) Hexe passed away just before midnight on Saturday night.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
