Montana was one of a kind and truly like no other pet. When we got him he was out of a litter of 8. Six white one's and 2 black one's. They said that he was a mix of Sheppard, Collie and Wolf. I held him in my hands this furry bundle of joy and we wanted a strong name. My husband named him Montana. He was certainly almost as big as the state. He weighed 175 lbs and 6 foot tall on his hind legs. He was completely leash broke and his best times were following our grandchildren through the baseball games to say good game. Once the kids and Montana got through the line they would all run to the middle of the field. He was their friend and he not only was our friend he was a part of us and we miss him so much. He had bone cancer and the vet never caught it. Then we toke him to another vet who found it. It was to late. He would not leave your side and he rode with his daddy on many courrier jobs including going twice to Canada. If he wasn't accepted then we didn't go. We have him home with us and his picture, red, white, blue ribbon that is still attached to his collar. His ashes are here along with a candle many pictures and an angel. The 10 years God Blessed us with a one of a kind dog. We could not go anywhere without people stopping us. Right after 9/11 his daddy had a job to NYC. Montana and I rode along. We were one block from Rockerfeller Center and the people just flocked and there were so many taking pictures of the big white giant who was so gentle. Oh did I mentioned he loved to sing. We never could play music because he would sing, sing, sing. When we called family to sing happy birthday he sang to :)The Great Prynees is the breed he most looked like

There is no way anyone who loves their pets can actually deal with it because it is something that we will never understand. I know in my heart that Montana knows we loved him so much and miss him terribly but he lives in our hearts, memories and video's.
