Our beautiful big eyed orange tabby was born on May 1st 1991. His mother left him and his 2 siblings only hours after they were born. So I became their mother. Things I thought were going well, but we lost Tee-Jay's siblings a few days later. However, Tee-Jay had a determination to carry on, almost like he was on a mission. He was the perfect kitten. He took his bottles and slept through every night. He became the most beautiful cat I have ever owned. He was a shear joy to have and made our holidays just so special. He was the perfect Halloween cat and the sweetest Xmas cat. He loved the holidays, especially Xmas because he knew he would be getting a special toy. He was my cat and even though he shared himself with others, it was me he came to when things got tough or he just needed to be held.

Years down the road he developed a few health problems. Diabetes finally came in 2004 and he did well with his insulin. He was still doing well in 2006 when we learned that the insulin he was taking wasn't being made any longer. So the vet suggested another insulin which we tried and he slowly started to go downhill. In less than a months time, I found myself being rushed into the horrible act of having to put him down. Only to find out that there was other insulin that we could have tried. As long as I live, I will never be able to get over that day and event. We lost a huge piece of our selves that day.

So now I go and sit by his grave. He has his own grave stone that has his name and birth date and death date and a piece that reads, He is in our hearts for all time, always. Which is so true. His photos are all through the house and I talk to him through his pictures and speak to him at prayer time. I miss him terribly still. And I pray to God that when my time is done on this earth that he will allow me to come to heaven to be with Tee-Jay and all of my other animals again and we can cross over to eternity. Hope God can hold you in his arms till I get there my sweet, sweet boy. Mama loves and misses you still.
