Cody was found as a puppy and my dad let me keep her when I was around 3. God blessed us with her. She lived in a house that my dad built with the same material as ours. When she was young we tied her up while we were gone but when we were home she ran free. She used to run around roll onto her back. As she got older and she stayed in the yard more she gaurded my dad's truck. Whenever you wanted to find her you just had to look by the truck. She knew exactly where dad's snacks were and when he came out she would get one. She liked to walk out the road with me but she wasn't allowed on the blacktop. She walked to get the mail or the newspaper with me. And she always helped me feed the other dog. One time she accidently got hit by a car and she made it through surgery and stiches. I spent two nights in the garage with her to keep her from picking at them and to let her now I was there for her. We finally made her a bed in the garage and bought her a heating pad pillow. She loved it. It helped her arthritis. My dad was the last to see her. She was acting herself. But she was 18 years old and we think she knew. But she knew she was loved and she will always be the best and no one will ever replace her. I love you Cody Girl. <3
