When I say you've never met a dog like Rocky I mean it. His intelligence was infinite as was his compassion. He loved many things, but nothing was more important to him then his family. When we were sick he would sleep by our sides, when we cried he would lick the tears from our faces, when we were sad he would go out of his way to make us laugh. He could sense our feelings and the way he reacted to them gave him a human like quality. Rocky had an amazing personality that everyone loved. He was an amazing runner and swimmer. I can recall one summer (of his few, unfortunately)where everyday I would come home about noon he would jump to the door and give me the look. The look that meant "It's swim swim time". Every single day that summer we swam...even when it would rain. When you spend everyday with someone or something you grow very attached. Mine and Rocky's bond was one best friends would have...or even siblings. Rocky seemed to have a special bond with everyone he met. Different things he looked forward to for each of us. Whether it be going to the park for a run, going swimming, wrestling, or cuddling. Rocky meant to so much to us. Things are not going to be the same with out him here. I know I'll never have another Rocky, but I know one day instead of me waiting for him at our back yard gate he will be waiting for me at heavens gates.
