Princess was the sweetest dog. She only lived with us for a year an a half after my mother-in-law passed away. However, we have known her all her life. We like to think that the last year of her life was a happy one. She was loved by all. When she came to my husband and I, she got immediately attached to me. I used to call her and my other dog Sandy my blonde babies because of the color of her coat. She was 16 yeas old when we lost her to cancer. My best memory is of her practically running out of back door with the other two dogs to go chase a squirrel. You wouldn't have thought at that moment she was a 15 year old dog. She went about 5 feet then pooped out. She seemed to say, "O.k. I'm tuckered out, you guys go get the squirrel." I loved her with all my heart and all my soul.

Personal Notes

My first glimpse of Princess Pea was her grand entrance to Armstrong Park before the Krewe of Barkus parade. She was regally riding a float made especially for her by Al, & she looked happy in a queenly sort of way. She had a very sweet expression & enjoyed being wheeled around for all to admire. What a lady!!!! She was very loved all her long life.
