Buffy was a registered Jack Russell Terrier. She was only on this earth for a mere one short year and I only had the privilege of sharing her life with her for a very SHORT ten months!
She came into my arms, my life, and my heart on December 10, 2005 when I got her off of the airplane from Chapman, Kansas. We bonded right away!!! You should have seen the people at the airport. They just could not get over how darn PRECIOUS she was! I guess that's what I should have named her!
She was such a sweet little thing with lots and lots of energy! She loved to run! My four grandchildren would try to catch her when she would take off running, and running, and running. They never could catch her as she was always sooooo fast! She looked like a little cutting horse, the way that she could run so fast and then all-of-a-sudden cut a sharp turn and start running the opposite way! She made us ALL laugh!
She also LOVED the water! Anytime you picked-up a water hose, she would bark and jump up and down trying to bite the water, or the nozzle! You could make a figure eight pattern and she would just follow it around and around in the path of the water! What a joy she was to watch!
Why, she would even come into the bathroom and push open the door with her nose and when she would see me taking a bath, well...she just HAD to get in that water! Yep, she would jump in and take a bath with me! I think she was part water spaniel, the way she loved water!
We would take her to the sandbar on the Sabine River and you should have seen her! She took to that water like a little duck. She would run up and down the sandbar in the edge of the water and would 'bite' and bark at the water! How PRECIOUS she was to watch! She not only entertained herself, but she also gave us many, many hours of entertainment!
When Buffy was only three months old, we went to obedience school together. Once again, everyone just had a fit over her! She learned everything so quickly and at the end of the six weeks, Buffy received an outstanding award. It was for the Biggest 'Littlest' Achiever! She was sooooo SMART!
The other thing that was just too cute, was that when she was ready to play, she would get one of her toys in her mouth and would walk up behind me and push me on the back of my leg to let me know that; "Mom, it's time to play!" Also, if she thought that something was in the waste basket that she could play with, she would push her nose up against it and look at me as if to say; "What's in here? Push this basket over so that I can check it out!"
Buffy Girl, I loved you so VERY MUCH and I'm so thankful that I told you so on many different occasions! I will miss you sucking on your little leopard blanket to put yourself to sleep! Since you were still a puppy, I guess this little blanket reminded you of your Mother.
My PRECIOUS little "Fur Baby", Y-O-U WILL live in my heart and in my memories FOREVER!
Now, you go on to the Rainbow Bridge and meet up with Buddy Boy and the two of you go run and play with all of the other beautiful creators that are there, until I can come and join you! Then we will share kisses, run and play chase, and love on each other throughout all of eternity!
I LOVE and MISS Y-O-U, My PRECIOUS Buffy Girl!!!
