Gizzi was a hard birth. Her mother Puffy struggled with her for a while. It wasn't until grandpa helped get her out, that Gizzi started her life. From that moment on Gizzi became part of the Honaker family. She was a tiny thing, always the runt. But she never let that interfere with what she wanted. Whether it be a Lay's chip or a piece of pizza crust, Gizzi always pushed herself upfront. In the summer of 2002 Gizzi became ill, we all thought there is no way it could be her time she's to healthy. Were we wrong. After rushing her to the emergency vet, we find out that Gizzi needs a blood transfusion. She had a case of sand fleas. No matter how much she was washed or protected they overcame her. So with the help of a nice bloodhound, Gizzi was given a second chance at life. With the new blood pumping through her system, Gizzi was full of life. She ran and played like a pup. In 2004 Gizzi lost her mother. people say animals dont realize these things, but it wore at Gizzi. She slowly sunk into a depression. No chips, no pizza crust, she just slept. Eventually she became somewhat blind. Her senses where all she had. They worked great, everytime her momma, Shelley, came around she would perk up and run a bit. Unfortunatly she would tire easily. On a breezy April morning in 2006 Gizzi left this world. She said her goodbyes and took her last breath. She was in her home around her loved ones. She was deeply loved and she knew that.
