Cashew was a wonderful dog. I remember our walks on the trail when I would take her off of her leash so she could sniff and run free. I can see her now running at top speed to catch up with me. She slept with me until she could no longer get up on the bed but when she really wanted to she would growl until I picked her up and put her there. She followed me everywhere and would get upset if I left her home. She loved her treats and when Spooner or Chewy came over to visit her little tail would wag so hard. I miss her. I still expect her to be here when I come home. Having her put to sleep was the hardest decision I had to make but she could no longer walk. Kim stayed with her and kissed and hugged her when she went to sleep. I feel better knowing she is no longer in pain. I got her a wagon and a stroller when she could no longer walk that far. I do hope she enjoyed the ride. I will always remember her. We are going to make a memorial to her with her collar and pictures.
