Cashew was a wonderful dog. I remember our walks on the trail when I would take her off of her leash so she could sniff and run free. I can see her now running at top speed to catch up with me. She slept with me until she could no longer get up on the bed but when she really wanted to she would growl until I picked her up and put her there. She followed me everywhere and would get upset if I left her home. She loved her treats and when Spooner or Chewy came over to visit her little tail would wag so hard. I miss her. I still expect her to be here when I come home. Having her put to sleep was the hardest decision I had to make but she could no longer walk. Kim stayed with her and kissed and hugged her when she went to sleep. I feel better knowing she is no longer in pain. I got her a wagon and a stroller when she could no longer walk that far. I do hope she enjoyed the ride. I will always remember her. We are going to make a memorial to her with her collar and pictures.

To Cashew..We miss you little girl. Walking past the "window" is not the same anymore. When we tap you no longer bark like crazy. No more wags of that little tail of yours. No more dancing on your feet for a treat. But you are in our hearts and at rest now in doggy heaven. You were the very best companion for mom even though she wanted us to think you were a pain. She loved you dearly and we knew it! Goodnight sweet girl.

Tonight is not a good night. I am missing you so. I thought I heard you bark the other day, just one little bark like you used to do when you wanted attention. Chewy still comes over for his treats and I am sure he misses you too. I hope to see you one day, just one more hug.

Hi sweetheart. I really miss you. I wish I could see you one more time but not in pain. I have been looking at the pictures Kim sent me when you were a puppy, a little treasure. Sleep tight Cashew

One last note to you Cashew. I will grieve in private but I want you to know I am still thinking of you. Your pictures are all over the house. I say goodnight to you every night and will see you at the bridge. I love you, Mom
