My beautiful Nikki was my pick of the litter. My best friend bred Chow-Chows. Nikki was a beautiful, spirited dog whom I had the honor of loving for 7 years. She was my best friend & protector. She went everywhere with me and she was "Mama's Girl". She did not like a lot of people, it is typical of the breed, but, I understood her. One day Nikki got loose from the house & ran & ran. Chase was a game to her. I did not catch her that fateful day. I received a call from Lee's Summit North High School at 7:00 a.m. in the morning, the day after she ran off. A garbage collector had found her in a dumpster at the High School. She appeared to have been hit by a car. She was wrapped in a black trash bag & discarded. The school notified me from her tags. I will never know if she suffered or what truly happened to her. Some coward decided not to leave me that option. I had her cremated and she is here at home with me now. This is my tribute to you Ms. Nikki. May you rest in peace. I will never forget you. Love Always, Mama
