Of grumpy temper, but a very loyal companion, Kiwi just stole everyone's heart. His bulging ebony black eyes seemed to be filled with joy upon the arrival of a friend. He had been ill the past weeks, and his joy had faded. It is always sad to see your pet die, but it is more painful to see them suffer. Despite our attempts to keep him with us, he finally died of a lung failure. I now know he is not in pain anymore, and despite I mourn his loss, I am rejoiced to know he will live in our memories, and will be there forever.
