Feargal was a star from the time he was ready to be adopted. He picked me out of a group of people all looking to adopt pets. He is the smartest animal I have ever had the pleasure of loving and living with. He didn't have to talk, you knew what he was saying. His favorite game showed how inventive he was; Feargal would sit at the top of the stairs, I or my friends would be at the bottom. He woujld roll the ball down and actually try to get it to hit each step. Feargal would then wait patiently for you to throw the ball back so he could roll it down again. Feargal stayed by my side during the sadness of losing friends, and the happiness of adopting a playmate for him. His unconditional love made my house a home, a place filled with warmth and cheer, welcoming all who would visit. My heart is broken, and even though I still feel Feargal's love, the softness of his ears and his cold nose waking me up in the morning will be missed. There will never be another Feargal, my friend to the end.
