The amount of love that surrounds the memory of Zeev is unfathomable. He was a companion, a protector, a fiercely loyal pet, and a deeply missed member of our family. He taught us so much about unconditional love and the importance of companionship. It was in those silent moments with him (reading in bed, stolen bites of ice cream, the tooth game with Mulder - NOT a silent moment by any means) that we knew the love of a pet is an inexplicable but powerfully meaningful part of life. It was through his soft brown eyes that we knew the feeling was mutual, that he loved us just as much as we loved him. We miss him everyday and wish his passing was not as sudden and early as it was, yet we know that he is now unbound and still deeply loved. Zeev was a formidable prescence, but we knew his secret: he was the sweetest, most gentle creature that has graced the name of "dog". We miss his kisses, his frito-feet, the backs of his ears, his bark, the black spots on his tongue, the stares from neighbors during walks, his nails on the tile, the way he hogged the pillows, even his constant nagging upset during a thunderstorm. We miss everything about the Baron and most of all, we love him and will always love him. We love you Zeevie Boy, "Steve", Baron Vonzeevhousen, Zeevster, Mr Zeev...we love you so much. Thank you for all the memories, thank you for all the love and protection, thank you for teaching us a little bit about life and love, thank you for being part of our family. We love you.
